La notte di Sankt Nikolaus

In anticipo di un mese esatto i bambini (e non solo) riceveranno in dono, da un etereo visitatore dolciumi e leccornie di varia natura.

Exactly one month in advance the children (and not only) will receive a gift from an ethereal visitor: sweets and delicacies of various kinds.

Nella cultura tedesca la befana non esiste; nessuno arriva la notte a cavallo tra il cinque e il sei gennaio con una scorta di caramelle da distribuire ai bambini che si sono comportati bene. Invece, la notte del 6 dicembre, è Sankt Nikolaus (San Nicolò) a fare il giro delle case che, in altre regioni tocca alla sua analoga figura femminile.

In German culture, the witch doesn't exist, no one arrives the night between 5 and 6 January with candy for children who have behaved well. Instead, the night of 6 December, Sankt Nikolaus (St. Nicholas) to do the round of the houses, in other regions it is up to his same female figure.

Questa notte, prima di andare a letto, secondo i dettami di una tradizione che affonda le sue radici in un culto già molto diffuso nel 1500, molti bambini lasceranno le loro scarpe fuori della porta di casa solo per ritirarle dentro, domani mattina, cariche di dolci.
Sempre ammesso che siano stati buoni in questo anno che sta per concludersi.

This night, before going to bed, according to the dictates of a tradition of the 1500s, many children leave their shoes outside the front door only to withdraw it in tomorrow morning, charged sweet.
